On March 26, 2007, a group of local parents founded Extraordinary Ventures, a non-profit organization that creates small businesses to employ adults with autism and other developmental disabilities. This year marks 10 extraordinary years of providing excellent, sustainable jobs for this unique and underserved population.
Over the last decade, Extraordinary Ventures has become inter-woven into the community through its six different businesses that include: The Event Center, EV Laundry, EV Gifts, Office Solutions, Simple Clean Bus Detailing Services, and EV Pets. Through the work of these businesses, we have demonstrated that social entrepreneurship is a powerful force for doing good in Chapel Hill and beyond.
