Extraordinary Ventures
Laundry Service
Dear Students and Parents: You or your son/daughter recently attended a presentation of our laundry services. We wanted to take this opportunity to tell you more about Extraordinary Ventures and explain the important advantages of our service.
About Us
Extraordinary Ventures is a local non profit founded in 2007. Our mission is to provide employment for young adults with autism and developmental disabilities. EV operates several small-scale businesses. One of our most important is laundry services. For more information, please check out our website www.extraordinaryventures.org
About Our Employees
Our sparkling new laundry facility is a great jobsite for a dozen young adults with autism/ DD. We match up our employees with the job activities. Laundry is such a great match for many autistic people who enjoy activities such as sorting, folding, matching, working simple machines, keeping track of time, and so forth. Our employees are truly gifted in many ways and they are great at doing laundry. In addition, having a paid job brings out the best in them. We wish you could see their excitement when they arrive at work, clock in or pick up their paycheck. It is awesome!
About the Advantages of our Services
•We are easy and simple. Pick up and then delivery in 48 hours.
• Our prices are low. At $19/bag, we are 20% cheaper than anyone else.
• We offer group discounts beyond our already cheap prices.
• Our employees do a superb job. The quality is second to none.
• We offer special same-day service for sheets and towels. Think about that!
• If you have dry cleaning, we will pick up and deliver it to our local dry cleaning partner at a nominal charge. It makes everything super easy and one stop shopping.
Finally, we never forget that while we are a non profit and we believe we are a worthy cause, we are in business because of the quality of our work and the convenience of our service, and because of you. We hope you give us a chance to turn you into a happy new customer.
Sincerely yours,
Lori Ireland and Alice Wertheimer Founding Directors and Parents of Adult Children with Autism
